Clayton and I started dating in April of 2010 and hit it off from the very first date. On our first date we went to the park and played catch with a football, then went to his friend's Twinkie art exhibit on BSU campus, then had dinner at Chile's. I loved that he drove a truck, he revealed that his favorite movie was "Singing in the Rain," and would realize after the fact that the BBQ burger he ordered for dinner was the only thing he orders at restaurants when he goes out to eat. But most importantly, I loved his easy-going, kind and gentle personality. I think if you asked Clayton, he would say that he liked that I could throw a football, was excited that I liked to cook and do laundry, and that he thought my legs were attractive. :)
In August he proposed to me and we made plans to get married, although we weren't sure when we wanted to actually get married, since he was schedule to be deployed a month later. In the end, and without much notice to anyone, we decided to get married before he left. It was hard for us to say goodbye and part for a year, but thanks to Skype and lots of time spent emailing, our first year of marriage was as wonderful as it could be and we grew close together as a couple and as a family.
Clayton is from Middleton, serves as a medic in the Idaho Army National Guard, is finishing up his degree in Psychology at BSU, and loves hunting and his motorcycles. He also happens to be an excellent husband and step-dad!
I am from Boise and work as an investment accountant. My three kids, Mitchell (9), Luke (7), and Elise (5) keep us busy and are great kids! I just finished my first triathlon and in addition to my long-time hobby of running, I am now loving swimming and cycling.
